Lemesos-Kourion

Our first stop will be at the ancient city of Kourion, a naturally beautiful spot perched high on the cliff top. Admire the famous Greco-Roman theatre and mosaics and enjoy the dazzling view.

Continuing our journey, we will visit the Crusader Castle of Kolossi, which was originally constructed in the 13th Century and founded by the Knights of St. John. Then we will visit one of the Island’s largest wineries. Here you will be able to sample and purchase some of their famous products.

Our journey continues to the Old Harbour area with a short stop at the only natural Sponge Factory on the Island. See the special way that sponges are cleaned and prepared for sale and discover interesting facts about the life and history of sponges and loofahs. 

A short walk away is the Medieval Castle in the heart of Lemesos where Richard the Lionheart married Berengaria.
Ample time will be given for lunch and shopping.
We conclude the day with a last stop at Aphrodite’s Rock. According to legend, the Goddess of Love and Beauty was born from the foam of the sea at this very spot.
